Summer Skills Challenge with NHS Coaches

Hope you all are enjoying the Summer!

As the high school soccer coaches, Coach Messer (NHS Girls Coach) and myself wanted to do something to encourage kids to work on their soccer skills this Summer!  So we have created the 2017 Summer Soccer Skills Challenge.  We are challenging any youth soccer player to accumulate 25,000 touches over the Summer, this can be footskill work, juggling, or just playing soccer.  We have attached a tracking sheet to keep track of your touches each day.  We just need parents to sign the form to confirm that the work was done.
All kids who complete the challenge during the Summer will be invited to a pool party at the Norwalk Aquatic Center on Sunday, August 13 from 8 to 9pm.  We'll also have additional awards there for the players who accumulate the most total touches, best juggling totals, etc.
Let us know if you have any questions and please share this with anyone who you think may be interested.

Keep an eye on our social media as we'll try to periodically share some skills drills throughout the Summer!  (@NHSBoysSoccer and @NorwalkGSoccer on Twitter).
We'll also have some organized events during the Summer.

On Wednesday evenings - 5:30 to 7:00pm - the turf at Warrior Stadium will be open for skills work and pickup games. For players 3rd-8th grade in the fall.

On Sundays, we'll meet at the tennis courts from 3:00pm-4:00pm for skills work and soccer tennis.

Have fun with this, if you have videos, share them with us on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram!
Hope to see many of you at the pool on August 13!
